Hey there, I’m Dr. Jeff! I am a South Carolina native now enjoying life in East Tennessee. I received my Bachelors in Science Teaching from Clemson University in 1998, but after three years as a high school math and science teacher, I decided on a career change. I graduated with a DMD from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2005. Immediately following dental school, I completed a one year general practice residency at Oklahoma University Children’s Hospital, where I did a great deal of work with special needs children and many OR cases. For the next six years I practiced in pediatric offices in South Carolina. Then, in 2012, I began a pediatric dental residency at University of Florida in Naples. Finally, upon completion in July 2014, I joined Dr. DeBerry’s practice here in Knoxville.
I married my college sweetheart, Bri, in June of 2000, and we have four children: Jackson, Mary-Grace, Margaret, and Eloise. I am an avid fan of almost every sport, but I’m particularly passionate about college football and my beloved Clemson Tigers. I also enjoy golf and the vacations that Bri drags me on. As a family, we enjoy being active in our Church and in community service. In addition to volunteer dental work in the areas in which I’ve lived, I have also had the opportunity to do an overseas mission trip to Haiti. This experience deeply touched me and I hope to do family medical mission trips in the future.
Being a pediatric dentist is my dream job, and I feel very blessed to be able to say that I truly love what I do!
Oh, and my favorite cartoon characters are Phineas and Ferb because of their awesome imaginations!
Dr. DeBerry has been setting the highest standards of excellence in pediatric dentistry for nearly 35 years! He earned his undergraduate degree from Tennessee Technological University, and his dental and master’s degrees from the University of Tennessee dental school.
An esteemed member of the dental community, Dr. DeBerry is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and is an active member in many leading dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the Tennessee Dental Association.
Outside the office, Dr. DeBerry enjoys giving back to his community. He regularly volunteers with groups such as Animal Works, The Humane Society, the Girl Scouts and STAR Academy, and he also participates in events such as Blue Grass School silent auctions and sponsors local Little League teams. In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking, photography (Dr. DeBerry has won several ribbons for his photographs at the annual Dogwood Arts Festival!) and spending time with his wife, D. Tedda DeBerry, and his three children, two grandchildren and one “grand-dog”.
Hi I'm LeAynne and i've been managing the practice for almost 9 years. Before joining the staff, I was a school teacher in grades K-9 so i've worked with children of all ages. I assist our team and Dr. Arrowood in providing our patients and their parents/guardians with quality care. When I'm not engaged with running the office, I enjoy cycling, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. My favorite cartoon character is Mr. Magoo.
My name is Terri and I have been with our practice for 8 years. I interface with insurance carriers and handle claims and benefit issues. If your child needs treatment done at the surgery center, I am committed to making that process go as smoothly as possible. In my spare time, I love spending time with my grandson. I enjoy reading, knitting, and cooking. My favorite cartoon character is Ursula from The Little Mermaid.
Hi I'm Joyce and I have been greeting children at our office for 26 years. Believe it or not, I know most of our patients by name when they walk through the door. It always brings a smile to my face when a former patient calls to schedule an appointment for their own child. My personal life is filled with caring for my 2 grandsons, reading mysteries and traveling. My favorite fictional character is Nancy Drew. If there is a mystery to be solved, I will be the first one to do it!
My name is Starla and i've been with the office for almost 4 years. I take care of our accounts receivable and check everyone out at the front desk. I love working in our kid friendly environment and I like being silly with our patients. If I can’t make you laugh, no one can! When I am not working, I enjoys dancing, playing Cornhole, and watching movies with family and friends. My favorite cartoon character is Scooby Doo.
Hi! My name is Leah, and I have worked as a dental hygienist with this practice for 29 years! I live on a farm with my husband, five dogs, and two cats. I am a hyper “old” gal, and I love working with kids – probably because I never really grew up myself and I’m still on their level. My favorite cartoon character is Bugs Bunny ‘cause with his attitude he makes the best of any situation!
Hello! My name is Linda. I’m a Florida girl, but have been here in Tennessee for quite some time now. I’ve been practicing dental hygiene for almost 30 years – eleven of those with a pediatric office in Rochester, NY and almost 19 years with this practice. I’ve been married for 33 years and have one son, and he has paws. I love sports and am an avid Lady Vols Basketball fan. Right now I’m trying my hand at pickelball and loving it. My favorite cartoon character is Casper the Friendly Ghost!
Hi! My name is Susan, and I’ve been a hygienist - and with this practice – for 18 years. I am Southern born and bred, raised right here in Knoxville. My favorite activities include hiking, camping, and traveling with my family. I love animals, and I live on a farm with several pets. My favorite cartoon character is Wonder Woman!
Hey! My name is Tracey, and I’ve been with the practice for almost 32 years! I enjoy anything outdoors. I love working with children – you never know what they will say next and that makes it so fun. My favorite cartoon character is Jessie from Toy Story because she’s a rowdy little gal!
I’m Wende, and I’ve been a Registered Dental Assistant with the practice for over 17 years. I have two active boys that keep me on the go. I love all aspects of pediatrics – kids rule!!! My favorite cartoon character is Scrat from Ice Age because of his drive and determination to see things through regardless of the circumstances that come his way.
